Dear participant!
JavaBlend 2009
Thank you for your interest in participation at the JavaBlend 2009 conference which will be held at Ljubljana Castle on October 7th, 2009. If you are interested in contributing to the contents of this year’s JavaBlend conference, you are invited to submit a one-page abstract of your paper. The papers must relate to the topics listed below and have practical implications but should not promote a specific product or company. Selections will be made by the reviewing committee on the basis of the abstract.
All abstracts and papers should be submitted and lectures carried out in the English language. Detailed instructions for formatting the paper together with other information on the conference content and venue will be sent to the authors as soon as their papers have been accepted.
Please submit your papers by email to info@javablend.net.
Conference program
Java developers are the primary target audience of the conference. Although the focus is on developer community, most presentations have to appeal to a wider audience. The session difficulty should thus be fitted to attendees with basic-to-intermediate Java programming skills. Developers like to hear about practical examples and learn about best practices concerning specific technologies. At this year’s conference the hot topics are:
- Development targeting mobile devices (J2ME, Android, etc.);
- Dynamic languages in JVM;
- Interesting and out-of-ordinary usage of frameworks (JPA, Spring, Seam, Guice, GWT, etc.);
- Using application servers in unexpected ways (JBoss, Tomcat, GlassFish, WebSphere, etc.);
- Anything related to SOA and data governance (ESB, rule engines, workflow engines, etc.);
- Cloud computing.
Of course, abstracts covering other areas (for example: fat clients, bytecode manipulation) will gladly be accepted for review.
